WIRN 2022

The Italian Workshop on Neural Networks

7 – 9 September 2022 – Vietri sul Mare (SA), Italy

WIRN 2022

The Italian Workshop on Neural Networks (WIRN) is the annual conference of the Italian Society of Neural Networks (SIREN). The conference is organized, since 1989, in co-operation with the International Institute for Advanced Scientific Studies (IIASS) in Vietri S/M (Italy), and is a traditional event devoted to the discussion of novelties and innovations related to field of Artificial Neural Networks. In recent years, it also became a multidisciplinary forum on psychological and cognitive theories for modelling human behaviours. The 30th Edition of WIRN 2022 will be held at the IIASS in Vietri sul Mare, near Salerno, Italy.

CALL FOR PAPERS: Prospective authors are invited to contribute with original, not published elsewhere, high quality papers in the topic areas listed below. Papers will be reviewed by the Program Committee and can be accepted for oral or poster presentation. Accepted contributions will be published in a Springer printed volume indexed by SCOPUS. Authors are limited to one paper per registration, not exceeding 8-10 pages’ limit. Springer Paper format is on: http://www.springer.com/series/8767. Submission is through Easy Chair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=wirn2022.

Top WIRN 22 conference papers will be invited to be expanded and presented for fast-track reviews and publication on the open access journal Sensors, covered in PubMed, IF: 3.576, in the Special Issue “Wearable Sensors and Artificial intelligence for Measuring Human Vital Signs”. A voucher of 300 CHF is available for SIREN members.

SPECIAL SESSIONS: Special sessions’ proposers must send their proposals, no later than June 10, 2022, to the steering committee: Anna Esposito, Marcos Faundez-Zanuy, Francesco Carlo Morabito, Eros Pasero (iiass.annaesp@tin.it, faundez@tecnocampus.cat, morabito@unirc.it, eros.pasero@polito.it).

BEST PhD THESIS “Caianiello’s AWARD”: The Italian IEEE SMC chapter and SIREN are sponsoring the best PhD Thesis published during 2020-2022 with 500 € and a WIRN 2022 free registration (including social dinner).

PhD graduated must submit their PhD thesis to the PhD Award Committee: Anna Esposito, Giancarlo Fortino, Francesco Carlo Morabito, Eros Pasero (iiass.annaesp@tin.it, giancarlo.fortino@unical.it, morabito@unirc.it, eros.pasero@polito.it). More info on https://siren-neural-net.it/
